The Terms of
Service
Every proof rests on axioms. These are ours — the foundational agreements that make CalcGems possible. Short, plain, and fair.
By using CalcGems, you agree to these terms. We have kept them short on purpose — because terms of service that require a lawyer to read are terms of service nobody reads. These are plain English, organized by the GEMS framework, and designed to be fair to both of us.
In mathematics, an axiom is a statement accepted as true without proof — the foundation everything else rests on. This is ours: by accessing or using CalcGems, you accept these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, the solution is simple: do not use the site. We will not take it personally. There are other calculators on the internet.
CalcGems is a free, public calculator resource. You are welcome to:
- Use any calculator on this site for personal, educational, or professional reference
- Share links to specific calculators (in fact, please do)
- Embed results in your own work with appropriate attribution
You may not:
- Scrape, mirror, or reproduce CalcGems content at scale without permission
- Use the site in any way that could damage, overload, or interfere with its operation
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy our calculator implementations for commercial redistribution
A lemma is a supporting result used to prove a larger theorem. This one supports everything that follows:
CalcGems calculators are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They are not substitutes for professional financial, medical, legal, or engineering advice. Before making significant life decisions based on any calculation, please consult a qualified professional.
We work hard to ensure our calculators are accurate and our formulas are correct. But mathematics applied to real life involves assumptions, rounding, and jurisdiction-specific rules that no single tool can fully capture. When precision matters, verify your results.
A corollary follows naturally from what came before. If the lemma above is true — that our calculators are reference tools — then this follows: CalcGems and its operators are not liable for decisions made based on calculator outputs.
To state it plainly: if you use our mortgage calculator to decide on a house and the payment turns out different, that is between you and your lender. If you use our BMI calculator and a doctor gives different advice, follow your doctor.

Every proof is conducted within a system of rules. These terms are governed by applicable law. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force — like removing a term from an equation, the equation still holds.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of CalcGems after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
QED — Terms Established
Short version: Use CalcGems freely. Do not misuse it. Our calculators are reference tools, not professional advice. The math belongs to everyone; the site belongs to us.
