QR (Quick Response) codes are two-dimensional barcodes that store text, URLs, contact information, or other data scannable by smartphone cameras.
QR codes use a grid of black and white squares. The encoding algorithm converts your text into binary, then arranges the bits into the grid pattern with positioning squares in three corners (so scanners can orient correctly) and error correction data (so the code works even if partially damaged).
Enter "https://calcgems.com" and a QR code is generated that, when scanned, opens that URL in the phone's browser.
Restaurant menus, business cards, product packaging, event tickets, WiFi network sharing, payment links, and contactless information sharing. Keep QR codes at least 1 inch square for reliable scanning.
